This instrument is constructed from Australian Black Wattle, sourced locally, which has a very attractive grain varying from cream to pink to light brown, with a hint of fiddleback figure that catches the eye, and the light.

The Western Red Cedar top is matched with the high density of the Black Wattle to produce a tone that is solid and sustained. There is good sound separation between strings, making the instrument suitable for picking or strumming.
