SOLD Dulcimer #32 - Richard Troughear Appalachian DulcimersSix string Kentucky style dulcimer with Western Red Cedar top and Black Wattle back, sides, fretboard and scroll (Acacia Mearnsii). Length 940mm (37”) This instrument is constructed from Australian Black Wattle, sourced locally, which has a very attractive grain varying from cream to pink to light brown, with a hint of fiddleback figure that catches the eye, and the light. The Western Red Cedar top is matched with the high density of the Black Wattle to produce a tone that is solid and sustained. There is good sound separation between strings, making the instrument suitable for picking or strumming. Click on the images for a closer look.
