This instrument features highly figured PNG Rosewood, and a close, even grained Western Red Cedar top.

The sound is clear and sustained , somewhat echoey like old- time instruments, but with good loudness, solid bass and strong treble on the upper fretboard. This is a sweet sounding dulcimer reflecting the tonal contribution of the PNG rosewood.
